Purpose of Role

We are fundraising to help support the work that Glasgow Eco Trust undertakes.  As a Fundraising Volunteer you will work with the fundraing working group and help to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.  You will help with planning events, preparations and making sure everything runs smoothly.  In this role you will be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.

Task Description

As a Fundraising Volunteer the role may vary depending on what the event or activity is, but in general this role will involve:

  • Supporting the Glasgow Eco Trust fundraising working group;
  • Identifying potential fundraising events and activities;
  • Develop links with local organisations and participate in fundraising opportunities;
  • Promote fundraising opportunities to local people;
  • Support individuals that are undertaking fundraising activities on our behalf.

  • Good administration skills, planning and problem solving skills;
  • Approachable and enthusiastic

Project Manager

Support and Supervision

Support and supervision will be provided by Glasgow Eco Trust staff.  Volunteers will be encouraged to access any relevant training delivered by Glasgow Eco Trust and partners.

Time Commitment Required

The frequency of volunteering opportunites will be dependant upon the volume of fundraising activities that are being planned/undertaken.

Location

Planning and development meetings will be undertaken at the Glasgow Eco Trust offices, fundraising events may take place in a variety of locations.
