Glasgow Eco Trust runs a health walks programme as part of our active travel programme. The walks are open to anyone over 16 who wants to explore the local area, get fit and meet new people.

There are currently three walks each week:

  • Tuesday afternoon - The Whiteinch Centre - 130pm for 1 hour
  • Wednesday morning Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre - 11am for 1 hour
  • Friday morning - Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre - 10am for 2/2.5 hours

Paths for All Health Walks logoOur walks are part of Paths for All Scottish Health Walk Network. If the above times don't suit you you can find details of other health walks in and around Glasgow on the Paths for All website.

Currently advance booking is required for these walking events.

Please note:

  • Please dress appropriately for the wonderful Scottish weather
  • Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that toilet facilities will be available on this route
  • If you haven't been on a walk with us before you will need to complete a short registration form which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email
  • The walk will be led by at a trained Health Walk leader

We have developed a walk leader agreement and a walker agreement which you will be expected to agree to before you join a walk.

Book to attend a walk

Our health walks and led cycle rides are part of our active travel programme which contributes to our transport work theme. Did you know that by walking and cycling instead of driving or taking public transport for short local journeys you are helping to reduce your carbon footprint and take positive action for climate change - making a difference for people, place and planet.

And if you are able to walk or cycle to our health walks and led rides, this will further reduce your carbon footprint.

These walks are supported by Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association and the GCVS Wellbeing Fund
