Events and News News Yorkhill to Yoker spring clean success As part of National Spring Clean Scotland Glasgow Eco Trust coordinated the #YorkhillToYokerChallenge for clean ups in the local area. The challenge focused on the National Cycle Network in west Glasgow from Yorkhill to Yoker and connecting to Yorkhill, Victoria and Knightswood Parks. The challenge also extended to a week of action in the Yoker area coordinated by Glasgow City Council's Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability Neighbourhood Liaison Co-ordinator. Groups involved are shown below along with when their regular litter picks take place: Friends of Knightswood Park, Born to Be Alive CIC and LINKES Friends of Victoria Park and Victoria Park Community Trust Harland Cottages Residents Association Kingsway Community Connections (second Monday of the month) Love Thornwood Partick Action on Litter (last Sunday of the month) Scotstoun Community Council (second Saturday of the month) Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association Whiteinch Community Council Yorkhill Green Spaces (regular Sunday sessions once or twice a month) Yoker Community Campus, Yoker Resource Centre and DRC Youth Project 178th Glasgow Scouts There were 23 litter picks organised in total which is absolutely fantastic so a massive thank you to everyone involved.
