Borrowing litter picking equipment

As part of the Community Litter Prevention Action Plan and #LitterFree campaign we are encouraging moer groups to organise their own litter picks.

There are several local community litter picking hubs where you can borrow litter picking equipment from including

Glasgow Eco Trust
Friends fo Knighstwood Park
Friends of Victoria Park
The Whiteinch Centre
Yoker Resource Centre

The equipment you can borrow includes:

Litter picks
Bag hoops
Hi-viz
Gloves
Black bags (you don't need to give these back!)

Glasgow City Council are also able to loan equipment as well.

As part of the #LitterFreeG14 campaign a litter poster competition was held with local primary schools. There were some fantastic entries and delighted to announce the 3 winners.

Eco-Schools Scotland is part of the largest sustainable schools programme in the world. There are 10 topics to work on including a litter and waste topic.

You can report litter and other environmental issues to Glasgow City Council by phone, online and by using the MyGlasgowCC app.

Council Bin Map

Glasgow City Council has an online map of all the locations of street litter bins across the city. This is part of our community litter prevention action plan and litter free campaign.
