Report a litter issue

As part of the Community Litter Prevention Action Plan and #LitterFree campaign we are encouraging people to report issues to the Council.

Whilst it doesn't guarantee that the issue will be dealt with it does provide the Council with data about the quantity of issues.

You can report litter and other environmental issues to Glasgow City Council by phone, online and by using the MyGlasgowCC app.

What can be reported

You can report the following problems:

Litter
Dog Fouling
Graffiti
Fly Posting
Fly Tipping (illegally dumping waste)

Litter free poster winners

As part of the #LitterFreeG14 campaign a litter poster competition was held with local primary schools. There were some fantastic entries and delighted to announce the 3 winners.
Borrowing litter picking equipment

There are several local community litter picking hubs where you can borrow litter picking equipment from. Glasgow City Council are also able to loan equipment as well.
Eco Schools Scotland Litter and Waste

Eco-Schools Scotland is part of the largest sustainable schools programme in the world. There are 10 topics to work on including a litter and waste topic.

Glasgow Eco Trust is working with a range of local community partners on the Community Litter Prevention Action Plan and #LitterFree campaign
Litter poster competition

As part of the Community Litter Prevention Action Plan and #LitterFree campaign a litter prevention poster competition was held with local primary schools in Whiteinch and Scotstoun.

Glasgow City Council has an online map of all the locations of street litter bins across the city. This is part of our community litter prevention action plan and litter free campaign.

As part of our Community Litter Preventon Action plan and #LitterFree campaign we are identifying hot spots in the local area.

Yorkhill to Yoker spring clean success

As part of National Spring Clean Scotland Glasgow Eco Trust coordinated the #YorkhillToYokerChallenge to faciliate a range of clean ups in the local area.
