From the Ground Up: Global Gathering for Climate Justice online events Thursday 12 to Monday 16 November 2020.

As you may know, the UN Climate Summit (COP26) should have been taking place in Glasgow right now. COVID 19 has delayed the summit to 2021 but the struggle for climate justice continues. To mark this moment, the COP26 Coalition is hosting a fantastic series of online events focused on how we achieve the transformative climate action we need.

From the Ground Up aims to provide a space for people to come together in these times of isolation, to connect and share the diversity of struggles and experiences that make our movements so powerful.

The programme is vast and varied and is worth taking the time to look through. The events are free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The gathering will be spread across five days and evenings to enable activists from all time zones to take part. We will provide interpretation in Spanish (and French upon request), and closed captions for key panels.

This Global Gathering is an opportunity for Scottish, UK, European and international climate justice movements to build momentum and capacity, and to connect to broader civil society to build power for system change.
