Glasgow Community Food Network are currently recruiting for a Community Activator to join the Food and Climate Action project.

The position is part time (28hrs/week) and funded until Feb 2023 and the pay is £21,200 per annum (equivalent to £26,500 pro-rata) and the person will be hosted by Glasgow Eco Trust.

The Food & Climate Action project is a partnership approach to climate action through food systems change. The project builds on years of excellent work carried out by the community food sector, and is framed around key actions in the new Glasgow City Food Plan. It will enable communities to be actively involved in creating a sustainable, fair and healthy food future, ensuring participation from the ground up. Core themes of the project are community participation, urban agriculture, food education, campaigning, and COP26. 

The Community Activator post is integral to the delivery of project activities. This post will be one of five Community Activator roles based at project partner organisations. This post will be hosted by Glasgow Eco Trust and work closely with the team there to engage with local communities and activities. This post is part of a team structure, and will work cooperatively with the other Community Activators, Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Support Officer. 

The project is funded through the The National Lottery Community Fund Climate Action Fund.
